YOU WILL NEED FORMS SIGNED BY YOUR UNIT COMMANDER IN ORDER TO PROCEED WITH THIS REGISTRATION.
CADETS APPLYING FOR SCHOLARSHIPS: If you are in need of financial assistance, scholarships may be available for you to attend NCOS. Please click here for more information on scholarships and application procedures. Awards from the Lt Col Tony Upton Scholarship or the Cadet Character & Leadership Foundation (CCLF) Scholarship may be applied toward an NCOS. If you are registering for SILP II with a scholarship, please apply for the scholarship first! Then, email the activity director (jagger.osseck@cawg.cap.gov) and provide your name and the scholarship you have applied for. If you have an approved scholarship, please email the finance officer with the proof of approval BEFORE registering in order to obtain a special code to use when registering.
All Members Must Complete:
Cadets Under 18: In addition to the “All” items, must complete a CAPF163
Basic Cadet School: BCS is targeting C/AB-C/Amn. This school will be focused on giving you the foundations needed for being a cadet in CAP and in the wing. Drill and memory work will be core to this school’s curriculum.
Airman Training School: ATS is targeting C/Amn-C/SrA. The school will be providing advanced knowledge one has learned as an airman and at BCS. This school will be excellent in having cadets propel in Phase I.
Non-Commissioned Officer School: NCOS is targeting C/SrA-C/CMSgt. This is a school that will focus on how to instruct and most importantly what it means to become a leader in CAP. There will be several labs on leadership as well as drill so that one can become a Flight Sergeant. (ENCAMPMENT GRADUATE REQUIRED)
Senior Non-Commissioned Officer School: SNCOS is targeting C/TSgt-C/CMSgt. SNCOS is focused on making an impact on the squadron level. In addition to providing useful skills to be a successful First Sergeant, students will also prepare to transition into becoming a cadet officer. (ENCAMPMENT GRADUATE REQUIRED)
SNCOS Specific Instructions (all other schools disregard):
SNCOS Student registration requires a Cover Letter, Resume, and full lengths Class B Blues Picture w/ribbons and badges. The cover letter prompt should state why they wish to attend SNCOS and should be a business style cover letter in accordance to CAPP 1-2.
