Important Request for the International Air Cadet Exchange

California Wing is again planning to host international cadets as part of the International Air Cadet Exchange Program. We have a rich tradition hosting cadets from all over the world in our great State. California is consistently one of the perennial favorites among all international cadets and it is because of you -- the members of California Wing -- that we have such a great reputation.

The activities we hope to include this year are: a day at Disneyland, glider and power orientation rides, river rafting, tours of Moffett ARB and Hearst Castle, a baseball game, a day at the beach, a tour of San Francisco including Alcatraz Island, and much more.

National Headquarters allocates only $50 per cadet per day for the 10-day stay. This amount is supposed to pay for all lodging, food and activities during their visit. A traditional activity such as Disneyland alone costs $91 per person. As you can see it would be near impossible to give these cadets a first rate tour of California on $50 per day.

Please assist hosting our international friends -- make a donation to the CAWG IACE Host Fund today!

Please click on the link below to donate any amount you feel is appropriate or you can send a check to CAWG Headquarters made out to CAWG IACE.

Some of you may be more comfortable sponsoring a specific activity, meal or other part of the program. If that is the case please contact the Project Officer Lt Col Chris Lee at ChrisLee@ebay.com or 408-427-1337

And finally, a special appeal to those IACE alumni who enjoyed great programs abroad, help us with your contributions so that international cadets coming to California Wing will be able to enjoy the same quality program you did abroad.

Thank you for your continued support of both the Cadet Program and the International Air Cadet Exchange Program.
