Friends of Civil Air Patrol Cadet Programs

Directory, CAWG Cadet Programs I would like to share something special that happened this summer. I volunteered to host International Air Cadet Exchange cadets inbound from Canada and the Netherlands. The budget that I was given was $30.00 per day, per head. That was to feed, house and entertain our guests. Realizing that the tour would be lacking on that kind of budget, I set out to fund raise. I sent out 85 letters to family, friends, and former cadets. I expected about a 10% response and an average donation of $25.00. To my amazement, I received over 40 responses with an average donation of $100.00. This increased our budget by $3000.00, which made the trip just incredible for our visitors.
